Town of Amherst History

There are three public school districts that serve the town: Amherst Central, Sweet Home and Williamsville. The largest is Williamsville, whose schools consistently rank among the best in the region. The University at Buffalo has a large suburban campus in Amherst which includes top-shelf athletic facilities and modern residential units for undergrads and graduate students alike. Space is also dedicated to well maintained industrial parks with the town. Amherst is the town of Erie County and lies just North East of the city of Buffalo.
